Memories of the Pacific War

The following juxtaposed images seek to evoke a dream that reflects the nostalgia of the Bolivian people for recovering their sovereignty over the sea. As if in a fantastical world, two situations unfold within the same frame: on one side, the Chilean coast that belonged to Bolivia before the Pacific War; on the other, everyday life in the landlocked country.
Photography becomes a bridge between past, present, and future.
